Istria with Children: Activities, Day Trips & Family Tips

June 6, 2026

A holiday in Istria with children means caves dripping with stalactites, life-sized dinosaurs, dolphins on the open Adriatic, water parks and horse riding. And all of it within easy reach: most day trips are no more than 20–30 minutes away. Villa Verde sits right in the middle – with a private pool, space for up to eight people and everything families need to arrive relaxed and head out whenever they like.

The house is beautiful, with plenty of space for 7 people. The four bedrooms are nicely furnished, each with its own TV. The pool was definitely a highlight – sun loungers, parasols and towels were all ready, as was a charcoal grill. Very peaceful surroundings with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Stefan and Laura were always reachable. We had a wonderful holiday and would love to come back – highly recommended, great for families with children too!
