Places to visit around Višnjan

The ancient Višnjan is particularly popular with tourists seeking relaxation and a typical Croatian ambience in sunny Croatia. The rustic village is located around 13 kilometres west of Poreč as well as the sea and is ideally located in the triangle of Umag, Rovinj and Motovun. Some of the region’s most beautiful sights can be reached in just a few minutes. One of the highlights is the world-famous observatory of Višnjan, which can be reached on foot in just 2 minutes. A few hundred metres further on, in the middle of the town centre, is the church “SV. Kvirik i Julita” church from the 19th century, the Venetian-style town loggia, the stone terrace with a cistern and the Višnjan town walls. Sea view included.

The renovation is definitely very successful. We felt completely at home and had a wonderful time in Višnjan. You can tell that the owners also holiday here themselves, because the furnishings are very extensive and we wanted for nothing.

A wonderful holiday

As one of the first guests ever at Villa Verde Višnjan, we received a very warm welcome and spent a very nice holiday in Croatia. The location was ideal for us (we took the 15-minute drive to the beach on some days) and you always came back to the holiday home with a good feeling. We will certainly book a holiday again sometime.
