That first glimpse of a life-size T-Rex – it stops kids in their tracks, no matter how many times they’ve seen dinosaurs on screen. Dinopark Funtana is just 20 minutes from Villa Verde and one of Istria’s most popular family attractions: over 200 meticulously crafted dinosaur models along shaded forest paths, plus a roller coaster, water play area, petting zoo, and pony rides. One day is enough – and it’ll be one they talk about for a long time.
What makes the park special
The park is built on a real forest site – paths wind through the shade, birds sing overhead, and something new waits around every corner. The Triceratops, the Brachiosaurus with its impossibly long neck, the Spinosaurus by the water – the models are full-size, and up close they’re far more impressive than you’d expect.
For kids there are interactive stations: dig for dinosaur bones, steer remote-controlled models, visit the petting zoo with real animals. Live shows run several times daily – times are posted at the entrance and on dinopark.hr.
From 15:00 there’s a Happy Hour with reduced admission prices – a good option if you’re only planning the afternoon. Buy tickets online in advance to skip the queue at the entrance, especially in high season.
Tickets and opening hours
Head towards Poreč, then follow the signs for Funtana. Free parking right at the park. If the weather looks uncertain, check dinopark.hr in the morning – the park can close on short notice.
Day tickets can be purchased until 16:00; the park closes at 18:00. Children under 4 enter free. (as of 2026)
