The pool has a shallow entry. Air conditioning in every bedroom means afternoon naps work even in midsummer heat. Space for up to 8 people.

Things to Do in Istria with Kids
Dinopark Funtana · 20 km · 20–25 min.
More than 200 life-sized dinosaurs spread across shaded forest paths, plus a rollercoaster, water play areas, pony rides and live shows several times a day. Children under four get in free; from 3 pm there are discounted happy-hour tickets.
From around 3 years. Younger children are often impressed, though the large figures can be intimidating.

Aquapark Istralandia · 18.5 km · 20 min.
Croatia’s largest water park, near Novigrad – slides for all ages, a wave pool and a dedicated toddler area. A full day out. Getting there early pays off: queues for the main slides build up by midday.
From around 4 years. There are separate shallow areas with small slides for toddlers.
Aquacolors · 16 km · 20 min.
Right next to Poreč, the region’s second big water park has more than ten slides, a half-kilometre lazy river, a wave pool and its own toddler zone. A great alternative – or second outing – if you want to stay closer to home.
From around 4 years. Dedicated children’s area for the youngest guests, lazy river for all ages.
Traktor Story · Nova Vas · 7 km · 8 min.
In Nova Vas, right next to Baredine Cave, sits perhaps the most charming small museum in Istria: a private collection of historic tractors and farming machinery that turns out to be surprisingly captivating. For children who love vehicles, a genuine highlight – and for everyone else, a lovely glimpse into old Istrian rural life. The two attractions combine perfectly for an afternoon.
Allow 30–45 minutes. It’s right next to Baredine Cave – ideal for combining both in a single afternoon trip.

Baredine Cave · Nova Vas · 7 km · 8 min.
Cool passages, dripping stalactites, underground lakes – for many children, Baredine is their first time underground. Guided tour, around 45 minutes. Pleasantly cool in summer: a good plan for hot afternoons instead of another siesta.
From around 5 years – there are stairs. In summer, book tickets early as tours often sell out.
Lanterna Equestrian Centre · 14 km · 20 min.
Horse riding right on the coast near Poreč. Younger children can sit in the saddle and be led, older ones can join longer trail rides. For children who love animals, this is an afternoon they won’t forget.
Pony rides for young children may be available – check with the centre in advance for the minimum age. Booking recommended.

Dolphin Watching · from Poreč
A boat trip out onto the open Adriatic – with a bit of luck, you’ll spot dolphins in the wild. Tours leave from Poreč and typically last 3–4 hours. For children who love the sea and animals, one of the strongest memories of the whole holiday.
From around 4 years. Smaller children can get seasick – use your judgement depending on the child.

To the Coast
The sea is 15 minutes away. Around Poreč you’ll find beaches for every preference: shallow pebble coves perfect for toddlers, larger beach facilities with a snack bar, toilets and changing rooms, and quieter bays a little further off the beaten track. Families with young children tend to do best at the family-friendly beaches closest to Poreč – easy to reach, with shade and all the facilities you need.
Head out early (before 10 am) and be back at the villa by midday. Midsummer heat between noon and 4 pm is not to be underestimated – the pool and air conditioning are the better option then.
