Ribarnica Ancora Poreč
Quite inconspicuous from the outside, the small fish shop “Ribarnica Ancora Poreč” is located just a few metres from the sea in Poreč and offers a great selection of seafood and fish, grilled or fried – just as you like it. Ideally, you should order by phone, in English or German (depending on which staff member you get on the phone), at least 30 minutes before the desired pick-up time. Unfortunately, the menu is not available online and varies depending on the catch, but the staff will be happy to assist you by phone. Otherwise, of course, just drop by and come back half an hour later. Our recommendation: Fried shrimps with potato & chard vegetables

Fast Food Papador
If you prefer something heartier, you’re sure to find something suitable at the fast food Papador. From classic cheeseburgers or hamburgers to traditional Ćevapčići in bread with ajvar and onions or deep-fried seafood – the selection is large. The owner speaks English and a little German, so ordering is easy even without any knowledge of Croatian. You can usually pick up your order after about 15-20 minutes, or order on the spot and wait with a drink. It is also possible to eat on site, but seats are very limited. Our recommendation: Ćevapčići in bread with ajvar and onions.

Incontro_2.0 is centrally located in Višnjan, only about a 2-minute walk from Villa Verde Višnjan. A lunch menu is advertised in front of the door every day the café is open. The price of the meal is very reasonable and it is quickly prepared. It is very pleasant to wait for a coffee in the sun on the central square in Višnjan. Alternatively, you can of course eat on the spot.

Pizzeria Vicinius
Also within walking distance is the Pizzeria Vinicius. It offers a variety of different pizzas from the stone oven as well as pasta dishes, starters and desserts. The waiters are extremely friendly and mostly speak English and German. You can order by phone or at the restaurant and the staff will also deliver the pizza to Villa Verde Višnjan. Alternatively, the pizzeria also offers numerous cosy places to eat on site.
